OK, I’m going down the rabbit hole of exit polls The only age group that Harris did better than Biden was 65+. You 45–64 folks? Harris did 9 points worse than Biden.
For all the Republicans who came out for Harris, she did worse than Biden, 5 vs 6%. Shout out me on how endorsements don’t matter.
10% of people who said abortion should be legal in all cases voted for Trump. Of those who said most casers, the vote was split. I don’t have it broken down by gender.
Speaking of gender, Harris underperformed Biden among all women, by 4%.
Pretty much the same gap with white men between Harris or Biden vs Trump, 23% gap. She did better among white women, but still lost that group by 8%.
No college degree, Biden lost by 2%. Harris lost by 14%.
Shout out to the LGBTQ+ community who went from 7–8% of the electorate and Harris won 86% of the vote versus Biden 64%.
Harris closed poorly, losing by a pretty good amount of people who decided in the last week or less. I think that is pretty important for the “pros” to follow up on, who are those voters who do not decide until the final days.
How about 1% of Trump voters saying they would be scared if he is elected🙄?
Trump got 6% of people who voted for Biden in 2020. Harris got 4% of people who voted for Trump in 2020.
So Trump crushed among the people who felt that inflation the past year moderately or significantly affected their family. Inflation was 2.4%. Wages, from my quick google are up more than twice that amount. I think the issue of inflation has a longer run, as the really bad inflation sticks in people’s minds more than what is happening right now.
22% of people who think most undocumented immigrants should be offered a chance at citizenship, voted for Trump. And 12% of people who said Trump’s views are too extreme, voted for him.

Among the most most important issue to voters, the environment did not see to make the top 5, see graphic.
